I'm disagreeing with everyone else. Canada will allow dual citizenship - nothing in their "vows" include renouncing any other country. I know of people who have kept their US citizenship and gotten Canadian citizenship. The US doesn't exactly like it, but it is possible.

This guy isn't a lawyer, but his information on his site is pretty good and will give you a starting point for any further research. http://www.richw.org/dualcit/

there's a aspect reported as duel citizenship. it truly is amazingly not easy to lose your US citizenship until eventually you especially a lot renounce it. less than is an internet site that tells particularly about the heritage of twin citizenship being allowed vs. no longer allowed, why human beings seek for it now and stipulations that folk use to get it. sturdy success!

I think you have to give up your U.S. citizenship if you want to become a Canadian citizen.
