I just happened to be at my local library and I stumbled across this book, "The Lazy Husband, how to get your husband to do more parenting and housework." It had some really great insight, and so much truth too. Anyway, one tip was learn how to negotiate in his terms. Example; My husband loves to go to movies. So something I could say to him is..."If you could take the trash out each week, I might have more energy to go see that movie with you, when you like." Girl, you've got to go check this book out, I can't do it justice.

Tell him to shape up or kick him out!!! In this day and age a man is hardly a necessity, and a woman's time and energy is a privilege!!
