I'd invite you in, and fix you something to drink, (even if it would be red koolaid that tastes like grape) and fix you something to eat, and talk with you. I might go to walmart with you afterward and we'd just have a girl's day out!!

I'd probably yell from around the back of the house, "Yo, I'm back here." Because I'm tearing up the deck, lowering it a step, and replacing the decking. I'd hand you a hammer or pry bar and you could start to help out. I'd appreciate the help because it's gonna be hot out there tomorrow. Show up around 8 am and bring a cooler of unsweetened iced tea to keep yourself hydrated. I'll get lunch, probably at the Sheetz cause it's freezing in there and they have decent chicken caesar wraps. Thanks again in advance for the help! It's nice of you.

Depending on the hour of day, I'd invite you [as a fellow- Answerer] in, and either treat you to a cool drink, or warm cuppa, or share my breakfast/lunch/dinner with you !

Living in a large city with a lot of crime, I would probably be afraid to let you in. Some very strange strangers have banged on our door.

I wouldn't answer the door, act like I wasn't home and wait for you to leave. Nothing personal, I do that with anyone I don't know.
