You need a lot of foods high in Iron, red meats, and dark green vegetables. Iron is very important for a developing baby and for you! Try to eat foods that have the least amount of added sugar as possible. Stay away from drinks with caffiene. You need to eat a well rounded diet, all the food groups. Good Luck, but remember pregnancy is stressfull enough, don't worry yourself about this too much!!

Good basic foods....fresh fruit and vegetables are important, as well as some low fat protein (fish...salmon, sardines) chicken and lean red meat
Folic acid is essential, as well as iron and calcium.
Stay away from alcohol & smoking...and limit your caffiene intake. Also do not eat large fish such as swordfish etc...due to high mercury levels.
Take a look at the links below which advise you on which foods to eat and which foods to avoid...

you can eat almost anything, as long as it isn't bad for you. no special diets are needed for being prego, so relax. if you would eat it while not prego, go ahead and eat it now...unless you know it will make u sick or has alcohol in it or something like that. avoid fish that is high in mercury and anything raw. that's about it. you need lots of protein, like from red meat like steak and such

you can eat anything you want!
the old tale: spicy foods = lots of hair for baby! which was true in my case and my cousins case! we both ate mexican food constantly (taco bell even!) and both our daughters had a full head of hair.
*FYI i had no hair when i was born..and my mom ate no spicy foods..and my husband had no hair either!*

anything that is healthy. ask your ob/gyn for some dietary pamphlets for pregnancy. you are feeding your baby, so anything you would want him/her to have.
i ate a lot of Mexican food during my last pregnancy and i gave birth to a bald headed baby girl.:)
