I am a smoke fan but he still should have received even a warning for his behavior. I think nascar didn't punish him for a few reasons: 1) Paul Menard did make a mistake and not pull into his pit correctly (which I thought was a rules violation itself) 2) Tony is in the running for the chase while I have never even heard of Paul menard let alone him actually running in the chase. 3) Most importantly: Tony only rubbed Paul menard 4 times and did not actually start a crash. 4) Smoke's car wasn't very good to start with and wasn't any better after the incident so it may not have affected the overall finishing order except to hurt tony.

Oh cry me a freakin river smokenangel. "he's only human" BS, his head is so swollen from winng the championship, that he thinks whatever he says should be set in stone. I think he should have been parked for the rest of the race. That was just the most retarded move I've EVER seen a "professional", if I may even call him that, make. I don't know whats so special bout Tony, but he aint the same guy on the track that you see talking to the reporters on Sunday.

I think the penalty is and was just.....think about it, isn't it pretty cool to see the drivers show their emotions? The fact is, Nascar is a business more than a sport anymore. I think the fans are getting what they want to see, and the France family is making their millions hand over fist. I think alot of people, overlooked the fact that Stewart drove his a s s off to get his lap back, and checked out on them. I think emotion, and drive, and excitement are what makes this sport so appealing.....Not to mention, wouldn't it be nice to see Danica Patrick every sunday?

The penalty was a joke. But, that wasn't something that would justify removing him from the race. Putting him five laps down would make more sense as that would essentially have removed him from contention and made him think about it better.

No drivers make mistakes and Tony just showed his driving ability by coming back and taking 7th. He has apologized for the incident and he knows what he did was wrong. He is only human you know?

I think if you're going to penalize someone, you have to do it to a degree to where they won't be able to win the race or even have a top 10.Let the punishment fit the crime

If you want to cut out the intentional wrecking, that's what you have to do.
