You've told me to ask him out, the guy that I've grown up with, but I'm not sure how...he's one of my best friends, like my brother! I need clever, calm, and cute ways to ask him to be more than that!!

Hmmm, you could wait for him to ask you out but guys are more shy than girls are. TRUST ME! So if you just want to go ahead and get it over with, ask him nicely and firmly but don't expect him to say yes. Have a back up plan--- one that will be in your favor whether he says yes or no so you won't be too disappointed. I usually just make a bet with a friend, if a guy says yes then she owes me something or I owe her something depending on how the bet goes. If he says no, then either I won or she won. It's just a way to not get too torn up about it.

But if this guy is your close friend... make sure you are willing to risk the friendship. Because if he says no, can you two still be friends? Will you be able to look him in the eye? If yes, THEN GO FOR IT!!!!!
