Yes wrestling is fake all matches are scripted months before hand by people they call "bookers" they deciede who wins the match and is the face (good guy) and Hell (bad guy). When wrestlers bleed they do it by blading themselves (cutting themselves with a small razor blade. It has also been known for wreslers to take asprin boefre a match to thin theblood therefore giving the effect of abigger wound, Thoguh wrestling is fake i still enjoy it i dont thinkits such a big deal really i mean all movies are fake nobody denies thatso why should anyone have a problem with wrestling being fake. trust me if it wasnt we would just have guys with broken necks and arms.

I don't think there is a yes/no answer here. I think what they do in wrestling is some very well rehearsed acrobatics kind of stuff, they definitely use a lot of acting, but I wouldn't put professional wrestling in the same category as boxing or some other fighting sport like that. Once in a while a wrestler gets hurt for real. Most of it I think is just having fun. But that is my take on it.

Wrestling is not fake. Wrestling is art, balance, skill, and leverage.
Professional wrestling (WWE, ECW, TNA) is fake.
The matches are pre-determined, and in many cases even practiced between the participants beforehand.
Ever wonder why they have their faces next to each other on the mat when one is clearly winning? They are announcing the next string of moves to the other guy, or reminding them of what they practiced.
The trick is to not make it look fake.
Now no matter what you believe, fake or not, it is fake BUT
Some of those falls, slams, jumps, etc. have GOT to hurt. I don't care how many times you practice it, getting a big back body drop or a german off the top rope, that's got to hurt. And not to mention tables, ladders, chair shots, thumb tacks, trash cans, etc.
I don't care how fake it is, that crap hurts.

I've been watching since wrestling first started and yes it is fake.
It's alot of entertaining plots, twists and lights to make it attractive for the viewer. The wrestling itself, well there is a degree that it is real... for example... if you were really to give a (undertaker's move) piledriver to someone you could kill them so there are things that are really not real in the way the execute the move.
Some are a bit more real... when you see blood....remember these are real guys with alot of male hormones and they will want to make it 'look' real to the viewer even if they have to sacrifice a cut on their face and allow the blood to spew for a while. They won't die from it... although if you notice accidents like the one that happened to that wrestlers a few years back... i forget his name but he was bret harts' cousin i think... that obviously was real. But it was an accident.
So your answer is 'yes' it is fake.

It's all fake, staged, and practiced alot before the "match". Sometime they get hurt, but it's because of an accident, kind of like when stunt people get hurt. Even when you see blood, it's staged. I've always thought people who really get into "professional" wrestling, and think it's real, must be some kind of sadistic freaks. Read a book

Wrestling is fake but it takes a lot of atheleticism to do some of the things they do and it is dangerous.Jumping off a ladder isnt fake and is very dangerous! If you watch a match you will c the two apponents communicating with each other. It is very entertaining and I like it too.

The wrestling you see on TV like WWE is scripted and choreographed. It is fake in other words. The men who perform on these shows are athletes in tremendous shape. If they weren't they would get hurt a lot worse than they do when they have accidents.

Wrestling is, by its own admission, "entertainment." In other words, it is just like any other TV program. It has a script that its actors use; it has a "good guy" and a "bad guy;" and it has a plot (usually) and a story line. Sure, it is "fake" like every other TV show; so what? It IS entertainment, and lots of people love it. I would say that as long as you enjoy it, great.

It's definately scripted. Management dictates who will win the match, but it's up to the wrestelers to choreograph the fight. However 90% of the hits they take are real. Chair shots are real. They can't fake getting hurt. When a wrestler disappears for awhile, it's usually because they got injured in a match and are in physical rehabilitation or have had to have surgery for the injury.

it depends on the wrestling you are talking about....
but of course WWE is fake... it is called "entertainment" for a reason... because that is what it is... it is more about story lines than fighting...
my boyfriend loves it, and he loves the fakeness of it, which is what i like about him because i cant stand someone who thinks it is real...
also, my mom used to serve a lot of wrestlers back whenever she was a bartender... she said they used to come in and tell her how grueling their schedules are... they train alot and do get hurt in the process. but they also have little tricks...
like many of them keep razor blades in certain places to make the blood seem worse... this is called "juicing"
many of them also keep blood pills in parts of their outfits so that they can break them at unsuspecting moments when the camera is not on them...
they also train to learn to fall the right way as to not hurt themselves.... that takes a lot of practice... so thats why people who arent professional do what they call dark matches in order to learn the ways of wrestling before becoming professional...
anyways.. that is the best answer i can give you...
the mcmahons also came out many years ago admitting that what they do is basically a "mans soap opera"... story lines and fighting... for men
