the magic of car leasing and financing provided by banks. too bad they spent the rest of there lives in one room figuring out how to pay all the installments.

I have a friend who is a social services worker. She noticed that really poor people sometimes have nice cars outside rusted out trailers or tar paper shacks. She once asked someone who had the nice car and the horrible house why and their response was, "so I can drive away from the ugliness and the poverty". When they get in their cars and go cruising they feel like a big shot and a "somebody" for just a little while. A $30,000 car is a huge expense but nothing like a $300,000 house for which they could never qualifiy for a loan anyway.

Maybe because they drive around a lot and figure nobody is gonna come by thier place and see it so its more important to look good where your going! I know a lot of people like that, that have a really crappy house and a really expensive car, its not just armenians.

If it's just them, living by themselves, there is no reason for them to get a big house. They can spend more money on a car, that is personally for them. I'm sure they spent a lot of the one bedroom appartment. I mean, if it's just you, do you really need a 5648541 square foot house? Just because they are rich, doesn't mean they have to have a huge house. I'm sure they still have a nice house. I mean, would you want to blow all your money on one house, to live all byself in?

This has somtething to do with Turkey's refusal to ackknowledge the Armenian genocide of 1915. Everything they do has to do with that. You hear it once, and that's enough.
