this is a very subjective question. because it depends on what type of car u driving, and how often u drive.

for a typical car, say toyota altis. monthly installment averages $900. petrol is about $400 a month. road tax is $900 for 6 months. ERP and parking is subjective, depening on how often u go to town. maintainence is roughly $500 a yr.

in all, expect to pay about $1500 a month for the next ten yrs

don't buy a car in Singapore unless you want to be a high tax payer! Upfront u have to pay about $35000 to Government for ARF, COE and Duty. And you only own this car for 10 years! Think of the road tax (600 to few thousands), ERP: at least $50 per month, petrol : at least $300 per month, insurance: about $1200 per year, HDB carpark: $65 to $95 per month....plus maintenance...at least $6180 per year exclude instalment! And for a car which actually only worth less than S$20K.
