Anywhere from 25-40 years.It all depends on what kind of care the received through their lives.I know of a donkey who lived to 42 but he was always well taken care of.

The gestation period for donkeys is approximately 12 months. There is usually just one foal, which is able to stand up within minutes after birth. The foal remains with its mother for about five months. Females achieve puberty at one year. The donkey's life span is 25 to 30 years.

a donkey can live for 25 - 35 years it's greatly due to the type that if you take good care of it the longer it lives!
