You might consider trying for a career in space medicine. As astronauts need to stay away from earth for longer and longer voyages, including some that will be stationed on the moon, etc., they will need permanent doctors at those duty stations. It sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Good luck!

You can do it, if you plan it correctly. Having a degree in psychology does not exclude you from being capable of being an astronaut. If anything, it puts you in the unique position of being able to monitor, predict, and explain the effects that long term space travel might have on the mind of an astronaut. Being literally millions of miles away from the nearest human may be more than even the best prepared astronaut can handle. You may just be the one person between keeping an astronaut's mind healthy or turning them into a raving space blaster wielding lunatic!

Your qualifications for a degree in psychology and those for becoming an astronaut are completely different. It should be possible to combine both, just as you can combine a degree in psychology with being a mountain climber or President of the US.

use your knowlege of psychology to play mind games with your fellow astronauts in space
really do their heads in, they can't get away , your in space
plant false memories in their minds of what happened on the mission and they'll write fantastical stories of their experiences that will be discredited by the government therefore giving the stories more credit in the eyes of the conspiracy theorists who will believe whatever you can 'lead' them to believe
