Sounds like it could be anxiety and or panic attacks. Did they test your breathing volume. Very easy test, just breath in and out into a device that measures your inhalation and exhalation.

1. stop eating, the reason you are overweight is because you eat too much. usually the reason for getting overweight is overeating. know your limits, and find a hobby that interests, dont count out the fact that you might be eating because you are bored.

2. go to the gym, start bench pressing and everything else that would work your chest muscles will boost your motabolism which is vital to weight loss.

3. eat SMART, this doesnt mean only eating veggies and fruits, although you can eat all the fresh fruits you want because your body uses the entire fruit. it doesnt waste anything. every part of that fruit has some use in your body. you can eat ice cream or McDonalds you just have to use common sense on how much you eat (i.e dont get 3 big macs, a large milk shake and a large frys).

this is not cliche, its fact. if you want to lose weight you need to do these things. diet pills dont do squat in the long run, they pretty much for people who want to lose weight the easy way, but once you stop taking the pill the weight comes back.

i wont bs you, this will take a long time to get back in shape (depending how overweight you are). but think of it this way; the time you spend getting back in shape would go by anyway even if you werent spending time getting in shape.

When does this occur? Does it occur for no apparent reason? Or are you under stress? Try lifting your hands over your head you might be short of breath (oxygen) and this will help the flow. This occured to me, i went to the ER and basically they told me it was the stressing causing me anxiety attacks. I now get them when i cant take it (stress)...I will keep you in my prayers, i know how awful it is and feeling like "nothing is really wrong with you" sucks...

Take care! And if need be get a second opinion...

anxiouty, stress

sometimes when you goto the doctor you feel less stress being that you're in a place where you can't keel over and die without help.

maybe you should check what your thinking, doing, or saying when these spells occur. sharp pains might be not be a heart attack depending on how it happens.. if you feel a sharp pain when you inhale deeply then that's actually a bubble forming in between thin layers of tissue between your lungs and ribs. that's normal and not fatal.

Get to the doctor right away. Even though the EKG is normal, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're okay. You could have any one of a number of medical problems, but trying to self-diagnose on Yahoo! could be dangerous. Please get to a competent physician and have a full physical done.

go to a sleep speasialist, somtimes people who are overweight can basically have their body fat press down on their organs while they are sleeping, the organs reacting the worst to this are the heart and lungs. this can cause you to hurt while you are sleeping. a sleep speacialist will be able to help you sleep. THE ONLY CURE TO THIS IS TO DIET AND EXERSIZE!!!!!!!!!!
do not wait, my dad went to a sleep speacialist and found out he was crushing his heart. diet and exersize will help. do non-impact exersize like biking. get a trainer to help you get into shape, they will help a lot with meal plans and exersize plans.
