I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my first child, and I don't go to the doc again until Friday (if I make it that far). I think that it was yesterday that I began feeling extreme pressure in my lower abdomen-especially when I walk around. I feel like I can barely walk! I also have a sharp pain that feels like exactly where I think my cervix is. The pain also travels through to my lower back. My mother and my husband both noticed today that the baby looks like she may have dropped. The last time I was checked, I was 50% effaced and dialated 1 cm. I've been dialated at 1cm for about 3 weeks now. Could this sharp pain be ripening of the cervix? Is my time near? Contractions started early this morning, and have continued irregularly for the rest of the day. I feel like I've been pregnant for years!

Sounds like you dropped and the baby is pressing against your cervix. My baby isn't that low yet, but the few times he stretches against my cervix I get a similar pain. The baby can drop anywhere from 2-4 weeks before you go into labor. Keep an eye on the contractions. If they aren't really regular, but are still less than 5-6 minutes apart or have gotten very painful, then call your doctor. Contractions sometimes end up irregular even when in active labor. That's precisely why it hurts, seeing that he is hitting your cervix, whilst you do it puppy sort, or positioned your leg up, it enables for deeper penetration and thus it is much more likely that he is going to hit your cervix. Chances are with a further accomplice this would not arise, your boyfriends penis is good over the traditional period. Rather than averting those positions, ask your boyf to not thrust so deep. Try woman on best so you'll be able to manipulate it. The equal factor occurs to me mostly with my boyf, mostly puppy sort hurts, different instances its adequate, suppose it is determined by wherein I am in my cycle as your cervix alterations in the course of the month.

since this is your first pregnancy, it takes a little longer to dialate, i would just take it easy, and take warm bathes everyday, because the closer you get, with doing the warm bathes it will bring on your contractions more and speed up things! try to get as much sleep as possible, because you are going to need your strength to push, and the sharp pains could be contraction on and off, so take it easy for the next couple days and take those warm bathes you will feel so much better!! good luck

u will feel like that hun lol. and then when u have baby u forget you r not no more lol. i would just keep timing them and go in if you are concerned. it could just be the baby dropping further. do u pee even mmore now and can breath a little easier? either way good luck hun and congrats on your new baby! (whenever he/she arrives!)
