Aw, you'll be ok honey. All freshmen are nervous when they first start high school because it's completely different from elementary school and middle school. The teachers don't hold your hand anymore and don't walk to you lunch and your classes! lol. After each period ends, you get a certain number of minutes to go to your locker and get to the next class. It takes some time getting used to everything and figuring everything out, but pretty soon, you'll be settled in and you'll be making new friends in your classes and you'll be hanging out in the halls talking like everyone else.
My best advice for you is to stick close to your friends and if none of them are in your classes, don't be sooo shy and quiet. Be outgoing and willing to talk to people. Confidence will get you far in high school. The insecure people are the ones who get pushed away.

As I remember, when one period ends, you rush to your next class, which is always the complete opposite direction everybody else in the hallway is going. Unless, of course, it is lunch time or the end of the day. If it is lunch time, you either must find or buy your lunch, and then find someone who will deign to eat with you. If it is the end of the day, all you have to do is determine which of several large, yellow vehicles is the one that will return to someplace within walking distance of your abode.
Try to remember that approximately one fourth of the people arriving with you that first morning are in exactly the same position you are. High school can be a great adventure when it is not a great mystery. I went through high school thinking I was a hopeless nerd, only to be informed at my high school reunion that I was someone many people remembered.
I have many good high school memories, and find that I tell more high school then college stories. If you like I will share a few with you, just email me.

OMG!!! I'm about to be a Senior in high school this year so welcome to the scared club lol...But no, high school is no problem really. I mean, b4 ninth grade we ALL were nervous wether we admitted it or not...me and all of my friends and ppl we didn't even know or LIKE actually were in the same boat for a whole year lol. It is really fun and it will FLY by...next thing you know you'll be in the tenth grade. After every period you'll have on average 5 minutes to get to your next class including you having to stop at your locker and use the restrooms...a lot of teachers don't care if you use the restroom during class but some are anal about it...so use the first week of school to get to know the teachers b4 u abuse the bathroom, locker, and nurse privileges...they'll be lenient on day one and two...but after that they'll be their normal selves again. Also, take lunch time to actually EAT and sit down...don't be running around the whole school because by the end of the day you will be SO tired. And please don't forget your schedule because the guidance office will be PACKED with ppl who forgot theirs or need a schedule change and you will be missing out on important rules and details of your classes...but after the first week you'll have all your classes memorized and it will all be a breeze. Try to take it easy if you need more time on the learning scale... if not go ahead and jump into a sport or something to get you more involved and doing things at school...even if its something like some extra choir group or something...those are really fun. but anyway good luck with everything.... ;-)

don't be scared. it's really not ALL that different than middle school. i just graduated last year. it goes by soo super fast!! trust me, it will be fine. there might be a little more drama, but you just learn to deal and get over it. the main advice i can give to you as an experienced high school student is: GET INVOLVED!!!! i made the stupid mistake of not getting involved with school activities (sports, clubs, theatre, dances, etc.) and now i feel as if i missed out on a lot of amazing experiences. don't let your life pass you by. these are the best years of your life, so LIVE IT UP! good luck! and hey, e-mail me if you have any more questions or need help: linkgurlie06@yahoo.com

high school is like middle school, but only more people and more drama. its no big deal, all that stereotyping cheerleaders and jock rule crap they put on tv never exist. (I hardly know any cheerleaders) Its nearly impossible to be popular because there's no way in the world that every person in the school knows you. After every period ends??.. you get about 4 or 5 mintues to go to your next period class...its no big deal, but you REALLY REALLY REALLY have to focus on your grades...big time, and the worst thing is its the year that teachers put a lot of pressure on you...everyone gets this same advice but don't end up listening. freshman year has the BIGGEST impact on your college/high shcool life and if you screw up your grades...you're done.

that happened to me too.... well i thought that going to highschool will be not fun... well i was wrong highschool is really fun especially when you and all of your classmates get closer and closer everyday and when you start to bond. well when you get to highschool you must act mature 'cause your not a baby anymore.. the test will be harder than before but you can pass all of it when you are hardworking
good luck anyway!!!!!!!!
