I used to work for Mervyns, which used to be owned by Target. A couple of things that might help...
First, most retail places are more likely to hire if you have a more open schedule, especially on the weekends.
Also, do you have any previous experience in retail or is this your first job?
If this is your first job make sure to list all the recent leadership positions you've held, whether its captain of a sports team, president of a club, or officer of an honor society. The fact that you've held leadership positions, had duties and fufilled them goes a long way toward an employer believing that you can deal with work responsibilities.
If they call you in for a job interview, make sure to dress professionally with little to no accessories and light on the make-up and perfume. Walk straight, look into their eyes when you talk, smile, and be confident. Make them believe that they won't find an employee better than you.
Hope you get the job! :)

IF YOU ARE OVER QUALIFIED THEY WILL NOT HIRE YOU. Jobs at Targer, K mart Wallmart and store like those are considered unskilled jobs (Except for the Managers and other higher positions).

Check your resume and look what is wrong with it, Your resume will match with the position you are applying for.

There are 2 things you should never put on an application.
1---that you can't work weekends (especially Sunday's) or evenings.
2---where they ask why you left your last job(s) don't write "personal reasons", "not enough money", "disagreement with management." "harassment".
Those things will talke you off their hiring list immediately.

apply somewhere else dont limit yourself. they hold your application....for a while so there is no need to keep re-applying.
And it could be your hours it could be anything...it could be that they just dont want to hire you...if you really want to work at target...try another location...good luck

If you filled it out completely and correctly, then that is your problem. You appear to be too well educated to work there.
