Why would you want a girl who would dump you because you don't want to go on a carnival ride? Those things are unregulated death traps... (I'm not talking about Disneyland, just the traveling carnies.)

reassure yourself that carnival rides have been tested thoroughly innumerable amounts of times before being open to the public. there are many excuses you can use to close your eyes during the ride(sleepy, physical discomfort). as for losing the girl, if she would really leave you for just that reason, it wasn't worth your time. if she feels comfortable, you can hold her hand during the ride to steady urself. just a few suggestions here.

Then she has a problem, not you. That was childish of her to dump you because you don't go on carnival rides. I'm sure she rode them with strangers when she was little, so she should ride with strangers as an adult.
I don't ride them either. Waste of money.

It's not uncommon to have fears, no matter how old you are. Best thing to do if you feel you can't handle your fear is to simply learn to face it. Thing is, I'm pretty sure your life isn't over by being too afraid to go on the Zipper.
