I just wanted to know. If he is working on somthing within his term than he must have a limited timespan to do it. So whatever is important to him has a deadline.
My country doesn't have set timespans as such - the government can call an election a month after they are elected but must call an election before 5 years is up . Plus we don't have a 2 term limit so theoretcally the same guy could be in power for 16 yrs or forever(Treadeau) as long as he keeps getting elected that is.

So just curious -

U.S. presidential elections are held in November of every leap year, and there is a two term limit, Thus Bush's term is over in 2008.

When His Term is up this Time.. He will not Run again... If he is working on something that is just too bad. he will have to stop....
We have another election every 4 years.....
He was re elected after the first 4 years. so He will be our president for 8 years total...

Bush has until 2008 I believe. It is very 4 years when we have an election.

Sadly I voted for him, I thought he would do better finishing his mess then someone else, so now I kinda regret it! I believe he started this mess just to get elected again!! I hope someone better comes along in the next election!

Technically Bush's term is over in November 2008, and the new president is sworn in January 2009. But I wouldn't put it past Bush to try to find a way around it.

Look at all the public-school-educated no-nothings above. I would say that the NEA union members were more worried about their self-esteem than teaching them civics and critical thinking.

This presidential term is concluded at noon, January 20th, 2009.
