I think when a guy feels comfortable about his own sexuality he doesn't care who hits on him. But most guys do not and take it really personal when a guy flirts or hits on them.

They are often horrified because of the way they make advances and want to make advances toward women.
heterosexual men understand the male sex drive... and when they think that might be directed toward them, it makes them uncomfortable.

very good question....you get my 10 points. Come to think of it, I am surprised Women don't get together, tie these guys up, and subject them to unwanted advances to teach them a lesson...that would be a real fun thing to watch.

I assume you mean why do straight guys hate being hit on by strangers (male) when they hit on strangers (female) all the time.
It is because they are heterosexist. They see the world through their own eyes only.

lolololol, honey that's a hoot. straight men are terrified because most are only a 6 pack away from being queer, a fact I'm sure they'll protest loudly, but I've known too many men who wanna hook up with drinking as an excuse then act all it wasn't my fault 'till they have their next drink its like marines you can f*** 'em but don't try to kiss 'em.

It sometimes can be a turn off for a male to be propositioned. They are more comfortable with being the pursuer.

It's because they think their gods gift to women. Probably the same reason they don't learn how to pleasure a women.
