Okay, basically everything is owned by the Government and every food and material based industry is governement controlled. Entertainment is controlled by the people. The Gov. gives out food and clothes for work done depending on family size and need. Family size and need would have to be checked regulary, but hey.

No, its not communism. There is a big difference between that and communism. Check wikipedia or somthing if you don't know about communism.

Its called socialism - and the problem with it is that people have no
incentive to work. In capitalism, the more you work, the more money
you get (ok, theoretically). What is the incentive in your system?

Now, you're going to see a lot of statements about what you describe
is communism - and since communism is socialism with a particular
political structure, they are sort of right - but the political structure is
mostly what was wrong with communism.

Everybody remembers Stalin. How many people remember the
fact that basically everybody ate? They stood in line for toilet
paper, but they ate.

However, the fundamental problem of lack of incentive also needs
to be solved.

I think that a government like that would be easily corrupted because of their immense power, and this could result in a total lack of freedom for the people.

Its kind of like communism, it works in theory, but it wouldn't work so good in the real world

Your government is based upon the notion that every person will work to better the state. We have loads who won't even work to better themselves. Those who wish to achieve much are also stymied by the limitation imposed by the state. Financial rewards stimulate research and business ventures.

Ah, this is liberalism in the form of communism. No thank you...keep your little Utopia you have created in your mind only. I prefer to think for myself and to decide for myself. If there is nothing to work for, then motivation is lost and people tend to believe they have no reason to live.
