i couldn't cry--my mouth had hit the freakin' floor!! i think he is the hottest in the pirates movies, too and benny and joon will always be one of my faves. he was awesome in finding neverland, too.

Nope, did not cry because of that. Cried because Kiera Knightley got to kiss him and I didn't though.
My favorite Johnny Depp movie ever is The Man Who Cried. He did not star in it, but he played the gypsy Cesar, who fell in love with Christina Ricci's character in WWII Europe. Cried in the title means "sang". See the movie if you are a Depp fan with some intelligence. If you have no brains it will be too deep for you.
Pirates is a great series and I hope they continue to make them, but Capt. Jack is not the most challenging role Johnny has played, and true fans will know that this character is just a little bit of fun for him while he waits for the next truly artistic piece to come along. He is not so much an actor as an artist, and to know this you have to watch his non-commercialized films.
BTW, if you are going to post spoilers, note it in the title such as "johnny depp<3? (warning spoilers)"

I didn't cry, I was just very very pissed at Elizabeth Swann.

The Pirates of the Caribbean movies are definitely favorites (automatically) but other than that my favorite Johnny movie is definitely "Cry-Baby".
I just saw it for the first time last thursday and I've been watching it every night since. He's so hot and that movie always makes me laugh. I also love Benny & Joon. Its great.

First of all, Johnny Depp didn't die in Pirates of the Caribbean II. He's coming back in the 3rd one. They already made it. When they were filming, the actors/actresses didn't know which scenes were for which movie. He is hot in both pirate movies, and the movie crybaby.

Noo i didn't cry but I get where you're coming from.
And for all the people that are saying he didn't die YES HE DD, only in the third movie they are going to bring him back to life because at the end that women says something like "would you go the ends of the world, would u be willing to risk ur lives, to bring jack back" and they all say yes and now in the third one they are going to bring him back with the help of that witch, so he did die he's just coming back!
