umm they both REALLY suck so its kind of hard to choose. i would have to say that i would rather get bitten by one or two mosquitoes than ants. there is never just one ant so it makes them a lot worse. like once a wall of my garage was totally covered by a swarm of ants. it was awful. ants get in to EVERYTHING too. like inside you shoe or purse. they are such trash.

Mosquitoes can carry deadly diseases and can literally give you a disease that can kill you--they have for millions of people already! Ants, on the other hand, unless they are the really bad "fire ants," usually don't provide much of a problem except that they are a nuisance. Both can be eliminated by various means, like surround your house with ant killer chemicals, either dry or liquid, and you should eliminate most all ants for the entire summer season. For the few that are left inside, use those ant killer "houses" that you set around your kitchen, or where your cat or dog food usually sits. That should do it for ants.

As for the mosquitoes, there are a lot of ways to get rid of them from electrical, you know the blue light device that attracts them to a thing that looks like a bird feeder, and just zaps them with electricity and fries them, along with moths, lighting bugs, whatever, really fast. You can also install a "bat house" on the side of your house, barn, garage, wherever, and each bat will probably eat a thousand mosquitoes every night--for free! Especially if you put a bright light out next to the garage, or some out building away from your front porch where you can just watch the bats do their work for you. Then there is mosquito netting you can hang around your bed (probably a last choice). And of course the mosquito aerosol sprays that are available to use as a next to the last choice. Whatever.

Also you can use the full-proof method, once sold by want ads for a couple of bucks. Just make two 4 by 4 blocks of wood, take the offending mosquito, ant, cockroach, whatever, and place it in the center of the bottom block, place the top block squarely on top of the bottom block and hit firmly on the top block with your fist or a hammer. Guaranteed to be effective in every case! (or your money back) Oh well

You really have to ask this? Ants are only a pain if they get into your house and are determined to be a nascence. Mosquitoes on the other hand want you as food and won't leave you alone. At least the ants don't want anything to do with you and mind their own business. They don't pass around diseases like the mosquitoes do.

Mosquitoes.
Ants always form a pattern when entering a home, making "ant trails" while they communicate through touching antennas, and come around when crumbs or spills are around - or if it is too hot and/or wet in an effort to survive. They can be stopped much easier by placing something to repell them across the trail and this keeps them away. You can also find an ant hill and destroy it if you have to.
Mosquitoes are sporadic and unpredictable in comparison. They swoop in and bite to keep the species going, and are unrelenting in their quest for survival. They breed in the tiniest amount of still water - often hidden from human detection. Much worse to contain than ants!

If they are just regular ants, I don't have a problem with them. However, here in my stomping grounds, we have FIRE ants and they are just as bad...sometimes worse than mosquitos.

Ants aren't that bad unless you are dealing with leaf-cutters, bullet ants, or fire ants
