sometimes, the bolt(s) holding the slave cylinder are in slots, and the slave can be slid back and forth. if no, you must shim the flywheel away from the crankshaft. shims are available at machine shops that cut flywheels. you should try to find out how much was taken off the flywheel, and get a corresponding shim.

John R is right, most have enough travel to be able to engage the clutch throughout it's useful life. It's time for a new clutch.

Mine have always been self-adjusting! If you're getting inconsistent results, perhaps needs to be bled - or perhaps due for a new clutch!
