Im studying for a college compass test and have been out of school for a while, i need to brush up on mathematics and writing. Any suggestions on lit to study or tutor sites ecspecially for algebra

Looks like people covered the basic web pages. I would also suggest that you get a Schaum's outline for algebra. You can find the books at most bookstores and libraries. They cost only $15 and they have worked out solutions as well as loads of problems with answers. Good Luck!

I wouldn't use a website if I were you. Websites are not good primary sources, IMHO. Plus, it's cumbersome to use paper while looking at the screen. The computer is too distracting. You'd have much better luck going to your local public library and borrowing a good Algebra text or Cliff's notes. Good luck!
