I would say you should go to the doctor. I've never had an actual rash but I have had some itching from wearing a pad. All I did was take a warm bath and stop using them or at least only use them at night. Hope this helps

See your doctor. It could be contact dermititis, an allergic reaction to something in the pad. OR, you could have developed vaginitis or a yeast infection, and it really has nothing to do with the pad. Vagisil cream is good to temporarily stop any itching you might have, but see your doctor about the rash.

It sounds like you were allergic to something in the composition of the maxi pad. Ouch! I would use Desitin Creamy with aloe and vitamin E. It works very well, is not outrageously expensive, and is easy to find in the baby section of any store. This newer formula will not stain clothing, so is easy for adults to use without worrying about ruining their clothing. Good luck to you!

No way would I wear a thong maxi pad. I think that is an oxymoron.

i had the same problem, i took a nice hot long bath and soaked for like an hour, and i jsut wore cotton panties it seemed to get better in a day or so. good luck! oh i think it might be the glue or the adheisive on the pad itself, and the constant rubbing while you walk.

Are you sexually active? If you are, it could be an std, or a vaginal infection. If you haven't been sexually active then it is most likely an allergic reaction. You can try Gold Bond powder to help the area stay dry, which will help promote healing, or try hydracortizone cream. If it doesn't clear up within a couple of days you need to see your doctor.

air it out as best as possible....try sleeping without underwear for a couple of nights, don't wear such tight hot clothes for a couple of days and keep the area dry...get some feminine powder......thats the exact same way to treat diaper rash on babies......
