Getting ALL A's will help. Try to get involved in any Internship.
In general, BS is often aimed at education. But this depends on your college. Speak with your college counselor when you get started. Tell him/her your career aims.
And for gosh sakes, spell everything right. It's "bachelors", not "bachalors". That would pretty much make the Admissions Office turn the page to the next student.
(Doctors might have poor handwriting, but they spell correctly).

In terms of what you learn about biology, it probably makes no difference if you get a B.A. or B.S. But for non-major courses, the B.S. may (or may not) be more science oriented. The bottom line is that some universities say "hey, this is a science so let's call the degree a B.S.", while other universities tend to reserve the B.S. label for engineering type things.
Keep in mind that if you complete the basic pre-med requirements, you can major in ANYTHING, even (ugh) economics. Med schools like variety.

There are some slight differences between a B.A. and a B.S. in biology. A B.A. involves more plant courses (never had one required with a B.S.) and less math (no calculus required). I recommend that you go for a B.S. since you want to go into the medical field. You will feel more prepared.

If you plan to become a doctor, neither biology degree will help a lot. You need a pre-med course which is heavy on the chemistry. Actually for most medical, a chemistry based degree is really the best way to prepare.
If the school you plan to attend does not have pre-med degree, look up the required courses and plan with your adviser to be able to get the closest degree and use electives to fill in the gaps.
