yeah well I feel the same way about god and the bible, that it's all a fairy tale, and at least my beliefs go by fact and proof and not faith in something that there is no proof of

No, evolution is not a fact. It is a theory which is used to explain biological changes in organisms over time.
So, once again (for all the village idiots): biological change over time, absolute fact (don't believe it? go to a museum, look at a fossil, then try to tell me that men and dinosaurs lived together. moron.)
We have this fact, biological change over time, and the best explanation so far is the THEORY of evolution. Which, by the way, does not in any way shape or form say that human beings are descended from apes. Human beings ARE apes. We share a common ancestor with chimpanzees, bonobos, and every other primate on the planet. Some are more distantly related than others.
Yes, there are flaws in the theory. That is because we have insufficient data to create a flawless theory. Why? Because there are few places on the earth and few substances that have the combined necessary elements for the creation of fossil artifacts. In fact, African primates, from whom we are descended, have lives in rainforest and tropical regions for the last 9 million years. Which means they have decomposed completely within a few decades. Of course we don't have enough evidence to formulate a complete picture of our biological heritage. But anthropologists and archaeologists are finding new evidence daily.
Also, if you think that dinosaurs and humans were alive at the same time, please don't leave the country. I don't want anyone outside the US to know how dumb our citizens and how useless our education system is. Dinosaurs were extinct by 65 million years ago. The first known hominid on the planet didn't appear til approximately 5 million years ago. The first known hominid to leave Africa was discovered in Dmanisi, Georgia (that's the country, not the state, in case you're stupid), just 800,000 years ago.
I believe in god and I subscribe to the current tenets of the evolutionary theory. Evolution is not racist (whoever said that), in fact it tells us that race does not biologically exist. I don't think that one necessarily excludes the other. And I don't think it is very helpful to your cause by going around saying that people shouldn't believe in something when you don't even know or understand what that something is. When you can intelligently debate the pitfalls of evolutionary theory, someone actually might talk to you logically and listen to what you have to say without thinking that you are an ill-educated fanatic.
I'm too tired and frustrated by the ignorance that surrounds me to continue. Try learning something first. Read a book. Preferably Mapping Human History by Steve Olson, or anything by Stephen Jay Gould. What It Means to Be 98% Chimpanzee is also a very good source.

It is not a matter of belief. It is just that the evidence is overwhelming in favor of evolution. Scientific theory too evolves as new evidence emerge and new theories are put forward to explain and this is very important, to test them. If one day, evidence arises to prove the existence of a supreme creator then scientific theory will too will evolve to acknowledge its existence.
You know, I don't think evolution theory should actually conflict the idea of a supreme creator. It is entirely possible such a supreme creator would allow his creations to evolve in order to adapt with the ever changing environment that they live in. Building in the ability to evolve would ensure the maximum survivability of a species.
Do note the Bible (or Koran etc) only says a supreme being created the world and all living things. It never said that evolution is not possible (actually I do not think it says anything on this topic..).

Probably the same way that people can believe God created everything. To believe that God did all this, you have to have faith and believe in this God. But, if you dont have this faith, there is a lot of evidence to support the theory of evolution. So, people can believe in evolution the same way you can believe any other scientific evidence.

to the first guy, evolution is not fact, you obvioulsy have not study evolution. Do some research first. For exampl it has been proven that Carbon 14 dating is not reliable. Evolution brings racist believs. They keep changing their "facts" almost daily now. It is now called man to molecule evolution, but this has never been proven. We are to complex to jsut have evolved.
People believe in evolution because it gives them something to believe in that there is no God. Without no God there is no reason to believe in a creator therefore no rendition of our sins. If there is no God, then we can do anything we like.

Creation and evolution are both models for explaining how things got to this point. It is impossible to "prove" either one. I used to think evolution had all the answers until I looked closer; now I believe God created the universe. Accidents don't create order, they destroy it. Evolution says that enough accidents will eventually lead to more order.

Are you in a public college? instructors could have their comments, yet they could desire to state that it somewhat is their opinion. The info do no longer want her to have self belief in them, as a results of fact that info are only info, and stand on their own reward. right here is the way i glance at evolution: the perimeter wins. this means that when a species adapts to an environment, it does so in a bell curve, the place lots of the individuals are tailored to the 'familiar' of the ambience. whilst the ambience collapses for some reason, in basic terms the perimeter individuals stay to tell the story. faith works in basic terms on the middle of the curve, constantly attempting to get human beings to conform with a 'extensive-unfold'. (faculties paintings this form, additionally). The fossil checklist shows that neanderthals have been the conventional ones, and homo sapiens replaced right into a freak. If God designed each and every thing, then human beings could have greater healthful the middle of the evolutionary/environmental tree, as a results of fact that they could have been designed with a single environment in concepts. God's 'chosen' have been the Neanderthals.

People want to believe there's more to being human than being an overly mentally-active mammal. They fear the unknown, death in particular. Belief in higher powers and an afterlife give them peace, and hope when things don't go right; a promise of a second chance, or perhaps eternal peace after a lifetime of struggle.
Whatever trips their triggers.
