I started taking flax seed oil and my hair is thicker and shiny. It has always grown fast.

sure thing. proper nutrition, for one. perhaps an all-body detox to ensure your organ systems are working efficiently. then try 300mcg of biotin each day (plus biotin shampoo) and silica-- an herbal extract of horsetail. this helps the growth and strengthening of hair, skin and nails. but if you have an underlying issue for slow-growing or receding hair, this must of course be discovered and addressed first.

All I can say is don't use Rogaine. It is proven to make your hair grow, it is also proven to make it all fall out when you discontinue use.
