Quick way:
With Internet Explorer go to: Tools -> Reset Web Settings.
With FireFox go to: Tools -> Clear Private Data
If you'd rather just clear the search bar:
IE: Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Autocomplete -> Clear Forms and Clear Passwords. For a bit of extra assurance go to General and click Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Clear History.. Close IE and re-open and it should be gone.
FF: Tools -> Options -> Saved Forms -> Clear Saved Forms Now. For extra assurance clear the cookies, history, and passwords as well. Close FF and reopen and it should be gone.
