CHICAGOLAND, How do you people live.........?

Chicagoland is fun to visit and have fun but what's your oppinion on downstate?

Where downstate? Bloomington, Springfield? Even farther south? Be more specific, please.

Downstate is more rural, but you can find a nice suburb type place to live near Springfield, Bloomington, Champaign, Joliet, etc. Depends on what you are looking for. Quiet life of less hustle and bustle, then move down state. More metropolitan and fast paced, live in the Chicago suburbs
