There is good and bad in all of us. This movie explores this like no other. It will make you think about the nature of bigotry and stereotypes. The characters switch from heavy to hero in a way that is deeply moving and exhilarating. It is TV drama style writing where several different groups of characters and plots interweave (Paul Haggis) but with none of the limits of TV, it reminded me of "Hill Street Blues" which from me is a big compliment. I am a Don Cheadle fan and he captures the role. Sandra Bullock plays against character and pulls it off with ease. The most impressive performance to me was Ryan Phillippe's. Almost every nationality in LA was represented and they all were interesting and realistic. The ensemble cast and various plots blend together and keep your interest. Cast is great, music is haunting, writing is superb. Go see this movie.

It's a different kind of drama. Several stories run parallel and the director tried to intervene some of those stories. I guess, the take home message is that there is some good and bad in each of us and depending on the situation, humans behave differently.

I was a bit disappointed with climax but overall I liked the movie, it gave me something to think about and any movie that is thought-provoking is a good one in my opinion.

Where do you start with this cast --it's a terrific ensemble, with no clear lead performance, but everyone played his/her part very well, including:

Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Ryan Phillippe, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Esposito, Ludacris, Loretta Devine, Michael Pena, Brendan Fraser, Terrence Howard, Thandie Newton....and it hardly even stops there.

I thought it was good, but not great, and deals with several issues, Among the issues is the sense that we simply do not know how to communicate with one another, due to our prejudices, etc (whether based on race, sex, economics, ethnicities), and we have no meaningful contact until we crash into one another....And yes, it also explores the capacities for good and bad inside everyone.

Very good, if not great or a totally realized vision (for me)...but well worth seeing.

This was an educational movie. It is the only politically correct rascist movie up to date. They need to make another movie like this for Detroit. I am having a hard time seeing the different point of views here.

The last one was all about racism and it was boring.

The one before that was all about sex and it needed more action to be good.
