The best thing about being married is having a lover and a best friend all in one.
Also not having to worry about dates is great. You already have yours!

the best thing in marriage???? it reads in singular form but anyone who really loves their marriage will tell you, there is too many things to list but to keep my answer the shortest possibly i agree with alot of peoples answer being in love and being with your best friend but i would add the legacy and future you both get to create the legacy would be the children and what a well organized loving family can turn them into (our future) and then there is the future in which you two people plann the next 20 years and get to see it played out through determination and preserverance

The security in knowing that there is someone there that will stand by you for better or for worse. Knowing that at the end of the day, that special someone will be there. Knowing that that special person loved you so much that he/she didn't just want to shack up with you, but loved you enough to make it completely legal and wants to spend the rest of their life with you.

depends...totally sucks if you married someone for all the wrong reasons....but if you truly found that "someone" ..its the best feeling in the world having that person support you and always have your back...not to mention too many deceases out there to be messing around anymore

Having the one you truly love and desire, who loves you as well, in your life, to share, have offspring etc, and be a part of each others life, for long as you both shall live.suposedly, and 'hopefully." Because marriage is designed to last a lifetime.and love (not lust) hides a multitude of faults.
