I just weighed myself....and I have gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks....after trying really hard to diet and work out. I have school in less than a week....and now I feel worthless because I'm so damn huge and will go back bigger than I have ever been.

I hate this....should I eat lettuce for a week and see what happens?

How much are you exercising? Because if you are building up your muscles, you could be gaining weight from that...muscle is heavier than fat. Also, I have found that the more I obsess over my weight, the more I gain. I don't know why...it just works out that way. You need to change your attitude, and lose weight slowly. Make permanent changes, not temporary heavy dieting changes that you can't maintain. Stop drinking soda, never eat french fries..ever, and if you eat a sandwich, don't use mayonaise. Never take seconds, and if you eat at a restaurant, only eat half of your food. Then dump salt all over it to ruin it so you can't pick at it. If you eat cake or desert, take a very small piece. And don't eat anything before bed. Things like this. That's what I do.

You could have added muscle (which weighs more than fat). Or you could be holding water. Stop worrying about 7 little pounds! Real beauty comes from within and 7 pounds isn't going to change your destiny, trust me. Starving yourself will only make you ill and your health is more important than looking like some skinny deprived pop star (ribcages are NOT sexy). If you really have a weight issue and want to lose it safely, become a vegetarian and the pounds will melt off...plus you'll be healthier in the long run, providing you eat properly. It worked for me! See the link below...

NO! That will make you so hungry that you will pig out. Why not write down everything you eat for a week, and then look over it to see what could be causing the weight gain? You might be snacking on some bad stuff w/o even thinking about. Or maybe you're eating something you think is healthy, but really isn't?

No don't starve yourself. I don't know how old you are, but try consuming less than 1800 calories per day... Try drinking a fresh squeezed pink grape fruit juice in the morning and Eat a low sugar cereal in the morning with a low fat milk, and do like a grilled chicken salad with some fruit for lunch... The grape fruite juice will help you loose weight and when you eat your salad try to put some lemon juice on it instead of dressing or little olive oil and vinager... if this is too light for you, then try subway wheat bread turkey subs, they're healthy and don't contain a lot of fat...
If you like cabbage, try to have some steamed cabbage if you get hungry after lunch, and again fruits or veggies or salad for snack...
at the same time try exercising.... hope this works out for u!

You should of watched Oprah today. Bob Greene her trainer, said never weigh yourself the first 2 months of a weight loss plan. He said that when you begin exercising, your body will maintain up to 5 pounds of water. He said weighing yourself can be discouraging. Stick with your healthy eating and dieting and remember it took a long while to gain weight its going to take a while to lose it too. Go on oprahs website and check out her bootcamp for weight loss. Good luck and I know you can do it!!!

eat a healthy low fat diet and watch your portions. You can eat lots of healthy food and still gain weight. Exercise consistently and write down everything you eat and how much. Then check the amount of calories you're consuming over the course of the day. Also log your exercise to see how many calories you're burning. Find out what a healthy weight for you is at your height.

Try eating small portions and don't "diet." Eat what you want but small portions and then walk away for at least 15 min. If you're bored and eating to kill time, try walking outside (or ride a bike or something.) Or find a hobby you can do that distracts you from being hungry. Stress is a big eating trigger for me, I need to walk away before I gorge myself. Here is a website to check out about "dieting." I'm back down from 250 to 235lbs and heading down after finding it. It works awesome and it also teaches me about stuff.

If you're really working out so much, don't forget that muscle adds pounds. Also, with this heat, you're drinking a lot more water (hopefully) and that will add up to. I am in no way suggesting that you stop drinking water, in fact, its the best thing for you.

It's not about the number on the scale, or even in your jeans, its about how you feel about yourself. Keep exercising, doing more cardio workouts and realize that no matter what, you're beautiful.

HMMM GIRL,

IF YOU ARE EATING RIGHT AND EXCERSING...YOU SHOULD BE LOSING WEIGHT..UNLESS YOUR GAINING A LOT OF MUSCLE.

THIS ISN'T A GREAT IDEA.......AND DON'T GET ADDICTED, BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS TRY "THE POOP PILLS"

OR YOU CAN STARVE YOUR SELF...THAT ISN'T A GREAT IDEA EITHER...

LIKE I SAID, IF YOU EXCERISE AND DON'T CHEAT ON YOUR DIET, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM LOSING THE WEIGHT.

DON'T TRY ADKINS DIET....ONCE YOU STOP, YOU GAIN IT ALL BACK PLUS MORE, SAME AS THE SOUTH BEACH DIET.

THE ONLY "HEALTHY" DIET IS TO EXERCISE AND EAT NOTHING BUT CHICKEN, AND DON'T EAT ANY PROTIEN AFTER 2PM. EAT FRUIT UNTIL 6PM, AND NOTHING AFTER 6PM.

I WEIGHED 210LBS...AND NOW I WEIGH 135 AFTER 4 MONTHS ON THIS DIET...HERE IT IS AGAIN:

8 AM - 10 AM------BOILED EGG

AROUND 2 PM ----------PROTEIN AND VEGGIES (NO RAW MEET) I EAT BAKED CHICKEN THIGHS....THAT IS WHAT HELPED ME. YOU CAN PUT CHEESE ON YOUR VEGGIES! BROCCOLI, CARROTS, GREENBEANS, OR PEAS

BETWEEN 2PM AND 6PM...NOTHING BUT FRUIT. I ALSO EAT PORK RINDS WITHIN THIS TIME...

AFTER 6PM..............DON'T EAT A THING

GIVE IT A TRY...I KNOW IT WILL BE HARD, I WAS IN THE SAME POSITION...TRUST ME, IT WORKS!!!!!!!

I LOST ALOT OF WEIGHT THROUGHT THIS PROCESS, AND STILL LOSING IT!

GOOD LUCK GIRL, AND IF YOU TRY THIS, TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

DON'T EAT ANY FRIED FOOD.

LEMME KNOW!!!!
