the funniest part was they were in k-mart.that just sounds like a redneck way to propose.are they going to get their wedding pictures done there too.you should tell your friend that he is getting away with buying her a cheap piece of glass.some guys have no idea how to be romantic.what the heckwere they doing in k-mart anyway, buying curtains for the mobile home.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with it. Everyone proposes in a different way. Not all people go to the extreme of going to the top of the Eiffel Tower, under a star lit sky and propose. I hope that you apologized to your friend after you laughed at one of the happiest days of her life.

Same thing happened to my sister a couple of months ago - only difference was, they were in Tiffany's or somewhere dead expensive, anyway... I'm not sure I'm excited for her cos she deliberately looked for someone really rich... so ye, that story about your friend is kinda sweet

I sound jealous, LOL - and her ring is gorgeous but actually I am just concerned for her (but I admit, I would like something that lovely)

But really, I would prefer a lovely man and any ring he bought me would be lovely!!!

A diamond is a diamond is a diamond. Who cares if it came from Kmart or Tiffany's. They are in love. What they did works for them.

I read somewhere that WalMart is the largest retailer of diamonds. Wish I could verify that - get your groceries, new tires, and an engagement ring all at once.

Cool

Well, it is cute for them, as long as they love each other and they are happy. Am not sure what is bothering you about the whole thing,
is it the walmart thing? the fact she picked out the ring and he bought it ?? Maybe cheesy for you.
I still think that was special. I wish them lots of happiness.

it is cute... not cheesy.... to others it may seem cheesy but when u love some one it dosent matter how others see it. Its what they feel inside and they want to share there life together so of course it would be serious for her cuz she loves him and he means a lot to her even tho others may just laugh at that its is cute.

Well, I agree that it wasn't necessarily the most romantic way of proposing, but what really matters is how his fiance felt about it. If she is all excited about it, then I wouldn't laugh at her about it( not meaning that mean). Sometimes we laugh at things without thinking....it's something we all do.

I think it shows lack of planning and seriousness and also buying a ring in K-Mart is really cheap!

I think it's sweet although a lot of guys had already done that in the movies I still think it's cute and romantic.

If she's happy about the way he proposed, then that's all that matters and you shouldn't poke fun cuz you probably hurt her feelings.
