I believe that Israel is making matters worse by closing in on Lebanon. We talk every Nov. 11 about never having war again and then along comes Israel. Sociologists would say that you are making matters worse by spanking the child because then they learn that physical power is a means to an end. In this case isn't Lebanon like the child?

I just checked out www.fromisraeltolebanon.com as one answer suggested. Who can you believe?

And to the answer about Mr. Nice Guy, when has Israel ever been a Mr. Nice Guy? Ever since the Halocaust they have been pointing out how they cannot trust anyone. A Mr. Nice Guy doesn't continue to bombard an enemy but gets the UN involved to stop the conflict. If Lebanon is the bad guy, the UN should move in and demand action or impose other measures, embargos, curfews, home searches.

Sorry my mistake, I mean Hezbollah's missiles, the problem with Israel's forces are that they are being attacked from 2 fronts now, how long until the fronts increase in number. There are alot of Arab countries that want to throw a dart their way.

What about the Israeli artillery, blowing the innocent men, women, and children to pieces? You get censored news in the U.S. . Think I'm joking? Go to www.fromisraeltolebanon.com, and see the United Nations pictures of what's really happening there. The U.S. media is owned by 5 corporations, whom, by the way, supported Bush during the election, by scewing the news reports, the election results, and by funneling millions of dollars into Bush's campaign illegally, through dummy corporations.

If by Lebanon, you mean Hezbollah, then that child has ****-poor aim with those darts, as you so glibly put it.

Let's see if we can sort you out real fast.

Hezbollah has a few thousand short range, inaccurate missiles, and can field a poorly equipped ragtag militia.

Israel is one of the world's top military forces, with superior equipment, and a highly trained army, navy and air force.

Hmm, what were you saying?

Oh, if by "spank" you mean pound Hezbollah into the ground, then, no, I don't think the child-Hezbollah will get "negative reinforcement."

It won't matter, anyway, since Hezbollah is on the verge of ceasing to exist.

Sociologists would also say that you don't reward bad behavior - or you can expect to see the same behavior again in the future. In case you don't remember (or just started reading the news papers because there are pictures of tanks and bombs), Israel tried it the diplomatic way many times in the past. They negotiated with terrorists when their civilians and military were kidnapped. Then they released terrorist prisoners many times more than the kidnapped citizens that were returned. And has that achieved a cease to kidnapping and killings? No, now they are facing it on two fronts.

Israel is doing what the rest of the world doesn't have the B@LL$ to do. Not only are they doing the right thing for Israel but they are also showing the rest of the terrorist harboring nations what will happen if they are harboring terrorist and they strike Israel. I am not advocating violence but, it has been proved time and time again that you can not reason with terrorist. Modern medicine can fix many illnesses but, we can't fix stupid. I for one applaud Israel for there stance and efforts. I wish the bleeding heart liberal left wing of this nation would seek the mental help they need for their disorder... God's speed Israel, God's speed.

Israelis come from a line of generally pacifist people who were nearly wiped out a few generations ago because they turned the other cheek. They won't make that mistake again. "No more Mister Nice Guy"

Yep and that child needs a good whooping, personally. In your question, you asked how long Israel can last...I'll bet Lebanese are thinking the same thing....how long are THEY going to last?

I would not worry about Israel but I would worry about Lebanon.
Israel has weapons and weapon technology from the US and will fight like dirty dogs.
