O.k. thanks that's what I thought. We're renting a home and it has a washer/dryer but no dishwasher. I too would rather the washer/dryer then the dishwasher.

Definitely the washer and dryer. You don't have to go somewhere else to hand wash dishes, but without a washer and dryer you have to go to the laundromat. Plus, someone could always use paper plates and plastic spoons!

Washer and dryer wins hands down! Dishes are really not that big of a deal, but lugging 10 loads of laundry at the end of the week, waiting for them to wash, dry, and folding them all while in a hot, sometimes unpleasant environment sucks!

Nobody in their right mind would choose a dishwasher over a washer/dryer. I have both and hardly use the dishwasher.

Washer/dryer. I have a dishwasher and rarely use it. I dont mind doing dishes by hand, but would hate to do laundry by hand!

Definitely the washer/dryer because it costs money to go to a laundry mat, whereas although it is a pain in the butt, washing dishes is free.

I would definitely opt for the washer/dryer combo, as I really don't like toting clothes to the laundermat. I don't mind at all washing dishes by hand.

Definitely washer/drier. (We actually have two washers!) I hate the laundry mat. It's such a waste of time waiting for the clothes to wash, etc. We have so much laundry.

I remember my grandmother doing all of her laundry by hand. And they had a farm. And really icky clothes! And she used a bar of Ivory soap!

Yup. Although I like to have a dishwasher, I prefer doing dishes by hand over doing laundry either by hand or at a laundry mat.

Washer/dryer. It is much more convenient to have to wash dishes in the sink than clothes. Then you have to figure out how to dry the clothes.

I would have a washer/dryer combo because it is much easier to wash dishes by hand than it is to wash clothes by hand
