I looked at the car today and that price sounded too cheap for that model of car. What do you think?

depends on the milage, condition, etc... but that could be a reasonable price.

Do a CarFax.com to check the car history. It might cost you a little bit but it will definitely confirm if there has been any accident or damage to the car that could make the price so low?

DO a KellyBlue to check the price of the car with the mileage and condition of the car (assuming what you see is the only damage, if any)

i sell cars for a living and can tell you that if it is 2001 4 cylinder model with 60-90 thousand miles the deal is about right. the less miles it has on it the better the deal you are getting. anything below 60 thousand ask if you can take it to a mechanic because it seems too good to be true.

YIKES! WAYYYYYY too many miles for that price. Stay away. GM cars with that many miles have high maintenance requirements. They are actually asking too much for the car. If you really like the year and model, search for another one on cars.com or autotrader.com

5k for a car with over 100k miles. i own a 01, and though i have never had any problems with it, and i love it, i would pass on this deal. you can probably get the same car for the same price with 50k less miles.

Jenn,
Used to own an auto dealership in TX. The price depends on the mileage, extras, condition of car, etc. If you can get me particulars, I can get you an estimated value.

is it a 4 or 6 cylinder? if it is a 4 cylinder then you are getting riped off for about 1,500. If it's a 6 cylinder I would consider it, but then it depends on the cars condition.

A friend of mine has a 2001 Grand Am and he's had nothing but problems with it. I wouldn't recommend this car.

get the vin number of the vehicle and do a car fax search on the car ( just google carfax.com), and asked to see the title, if it has salvage written anywhere on the title pass.
