If you cannot bring the fever down during the night with Tylenol or Motrin, I would contact the pediatrician right away. I'm no doctor, just a concerned parent. Good Luck!

101.3 isn't that high. you don't even necessarily need to give her anything for it. a fever is the body's way of dealing with illness and getting rid of it. if she is uncomfortable, then make sure she dresses lightly - that will keep from making the fever go higher. no aspirin for anyone under 16 - only tylenol or ibuprofen. aspirin and fever can be a reyes syndrome cause in children!! let her eat popsicles and sip on broth. keep her hydrated with 100% juices and water. no processed sugars as they make the body work harder to get well. just natural sugars. if a bath, then lukewarm. do not put the child in ice for a 101 temp. if the temp goes above 102 then give motrin or tylenol to reduce and do a bath.

Oh My, Call The Pediatritian Soon! Dont Wait! Explain To Him What Is Going On, He Can Give You Advice. Ask If You Can Take Her Into The Hospitel If You Are Really Worried. If You Have A Childrens Hospitle In Your Area, Take Her There.

if a young child has a fever the 1st thought should be call the doctor. Kids touch things dont wash thier hands then eat.. getting all sorts of germs.. she could have something simple that will pass but always always better safe then sorry. Call the doctor ask, they'll tell you to wait ti out and give some fever reducing meds or to bring her in.

You can often call a childrens' hospital nurse hotline for free, and your health insurance company might also have a nurse hotline...so check the back of the insurance card. If the fever hasn't changed all day I would think it might be time to call the Dr. and maybe give her some Motrin or Tylenol to take the fever down.

You might take her to the ER and have them do a West nile test on her, because it sounds like the symptoms. Or also check her for ticks.

There's a nasty virus going around with all those symptoms; everyone in my family has had a turn with it. It's mine now. Yipee!

BTW, it's awful. Get her to the doctor so they can start treating it.
