A name from my contact list was removed and now I can not get it back in. It won't let me add the name.?

The name was on then while I was online it just disappeared and wont let me add the name back in. It says that they are already in my messenger, but the name doesn't appear on the list when I sign in each time. I am stuck. I went as far as deleting the contact from my address book too in hopes that would help. It did not. Anyone out there that can help me, I would be greatful. Thanks.

That users name probably got sent to the ignore list, go to messengers preferences and remove the name from the ignore list.
