Fashion makes it's rounds every 10 to 15 years and repeats itself the same way.
The 60's, 70's and 80's repeats because of the fashion and musical influences of those era's. Flare leg and bell bottom jeans for instance come and go. So do halter tops and mini skirts. Big beads, baggy pants, leather and lace will forever be a part of fashion.
It is unlikely to see the poodle skirts, cuffed jeans, rolled shelved white tee-shirts and 57' Chevy's make any appearance outside a car club or a culture shock club!
While fashion sometimes brings back certain aspects of the 50's it will be merely to toss in an accessory more then promote the innocence of the 50's.
So I wouldn't hold my breath on this one...........ya dig?

Given the trend, every decade seems to regress fashionably 30 years. For example, in the 90's the 60's were popular. Now, the 70's are popular. So the 50's will be popular again in around 2020

If you look in some of the mail-order catalogs,the 50's
fashions are already in them. Even some of the movie stars are
wearing '50's ballgowns.
Sooner or later, "everything that's Old,is New again!" :)

The attitude of the 50s is lost forever. I like some of the retro furniture from the 50s, the lamps, accessories, and colors....forget those clothes though.

I want them to start really soon. In fact, some are starting. I wouldn't mind alot of the fashion, but I could do without the whole poodle skirt outfit and all that was in it. I'm talking those cute pencil skirts, big hair, great colors. Yes yes. Love it.

it's possible. the 80's are coming back. why not the 50's? I'm a HUGE 80's fan. i was born in 1992. 50's had some cool stuff just like the 80's it's possible.

Actually the clothing is very fashionable right now.
Unfortunately the attitude is not. Those were
days when women where modest, and men
where gentlemen, and our marraige and rape
statistics werent through the roof.

It's starting to come back!!!!
Lately there has been a resurgence of 40's and 50's fashion, with rockabilly and burlesque.
