My Router is a Belkin [wireless] which works continuously on my PC, but Vista on my laptop is the problem, previously XP caused no problems.

Remove vista for now, that is why its called a BETA. if you want to play around with vista it would be better to play around with an ideal or spare computer

You have to remember that Vista is in beta version so not everything is compatible or will work correctly. This type of stuff is common with beta version of software.

Bascially there's little you can do at this point until Vista's final version is delivered to the public market.
