contact a consultant in your area and they will do a make-over for free. Or go to a make=up counter in the mall.
Go to the MaryKaye, Avon and Beauticontrol sites and they have pictures and make-up tips there.
I find brown and peach shadows look great on brown eyes.
Try a peach or beige shade of shadow on the entire eye. Then go back with a brown and line the top lid to the center and in the crease of your eyelid. Make something like a sideways v in the outer corner. Line the lower lid with a small amount of the dark brown. Get a soft smokey black or brown eyeliner pencil and line the upper lid and lower lid as close to the eyelashes as possible. Almost as if you are drawing a line in the lashes. The line should be thicker on the outer part of the eye than the inner part.
Go back and smudge it a bit with your finger tip. Touch up the outer corners.
Then apply your blush and then lightly blush the eyelid in the center to blend the shadow so it's smokey and soft looking.
Good luck!

as far as colors, neutrals look fab on everyone. get a good chocolate brown, a soft peach and even a black. us the black or the brown as a liner for a charcoal look, then get a fluff brish (the tip about the side of the last section of your little finger) and heres how to do it--- take the dry brush and gently put the tip to the shadow and make about 3 teeny circles. blow the excess off of both the brush and the shadow. (one quick puff should do it for both). aim the brush directly at your closed eye, and put it just inside the outer arch of your bone. do circles like you did with the power and draw it in toward your bridge a couple of times. this defines your eyes and gives them depth and allure. use a skinny sponge shadow applicator to do the liner. accent your brow bone with the peach or an irridescant cream. email me for pics if i didnt make sense

I would try some different brown colors, outlining with a chocolate color. If you'd like something more dramtic add gold tones in. www.maccosmetics.com has a section called Looks which shows off some good ideas. Also their eyeshadow works really well and is long lasting.

I recently looked through an Avon mag for some new make-up, and they had a page of what looks best for your eye color. Apparently, brown looks the best with browns and light pinks. The model's eyes were plain brown, but the colors looked very pretty when applied correctly. They recommended using a black eyeliner and a black mascara for brown eyes, also.

if you have brown eyes try blue/green eye shadows (they highlight the brown/hazel)
use brown eye-liner instead of black
put a light tan/white right under your eye brow to make your eyes look bigger
there are some good greens out there that are a little more neutral, dark but not too dark
Good Luck!

Put the lightest shade of the eyeshadow on the inner corners of your lids, then put the medium shade in the center & the darkest on the outside. You can use browns, beiges, golds, bronzes(yes! golds& bronzes are in the neutral family!),grays & silver shades.
