No I think it's wonderful to not care what people think. As long as you are happy with who you are, then who gives a rat's *** about what other people think! There are too many people who are trying to conform to the norm and do what they think everyone else will like. I hate that. Good for you for being your own person and daring to be different! Rock on girl!

I'll aways remember what Ozzy Osbourne said about getting a tattoo: (well, ha, I can't remember EXACTLY sorry) He said "how can you be different if everyone has a tattoo?" (Kelly got her 1st tat)
Being different is very hard. Most grandparents have looked like the kids of today, (or worse), it's just that no one knows. I mean have you looked at woodstock photos or "back in the day" photos of people you know? That's why the word "FAD" covers a lot of territory. (See Disco)
Pressure to look a certain way really hits when you wear the uniform of the career you have worked so hard to attain. What that means is most D.A.s and Governors look alike - don't they.
Is looking different making people not trust you? Do you look dishonest - I mean if your dirty and a cook then the two don't mix.
I'm just guessing your a human like me, so how different can you be? (Well I'm old ,etc - your not) Even the famous Lizard man is not different than me, we raise our children the same, etc.
Do the people that love you still love you? Strangers can't affect you, really. As I've sat here thinking, I should have just said NO! Ha, I'm old and have seen a lot of people try to be different, only to see they never are in the end. I have seen a young cowboy turn new wave (StrayCat tats and all) in under two months after reporting on board my second sub. But he was still the same inside, really. So enjoy being different! Then look back after you become president and look at the pictures you hide from your grandkids.

It's ok to be different and not care what others think about you. However, like the other people said here, when going to an interview dress in the "right" clothes.

NO... I think you need to be who you are. Don't let anyone make you change you. Don't let anyone judge you. Just think of it this way, this is how my family thinks of it...

I am not different everyone else is.

What is normal anyway. How do you know that you are not the one who is normal and the person next to you is abnormal.

Just remeber to be you and thats all you need to know.

I am a hippie and I stand proud that I am. I don't care what my up scale town thinks of me/ It just makes my life funner in the long run.

Enjoy yourlife and don't let anyone change the real you .

No I don't think it's wrong, you should be however you want to be. I was goth from 8th grade through my first year of college, I still have the goth mentality I just don't dress like it anymore. Just remember that one day you'll have to get a job so keep the visible tattoos and peircings to a minimum.

No, it's not! That's what makes people interesting. It is so superficial to care what people think about you. But don't kid yourself either as some people tell themselves that they don't care, but really do.

As you get older that will matter less and less unless you "feel" you have an image to uphold.

No! Don't worry about what other people think! Your sense of style shows who you are!!! And if you like to follow trends, that's fine too. As long as no one is telling you to!!! Be a free spirit and wear what you want!!!!

If you don't care what people think about you, then there's nothing wrong with it! If there's something wrong then YOU should decide for yourself.
