I am half black have chinese but i am fairly dark. In the past i've used brightly colored eye shadows in shades of white, lavender, pink, and baby blue. I've never used a colored lip gloss or lip stick, and blush, it has been out of the question.

What colors of eyeshadow would look best on my medium-dark skin, what colors should i stay away from?

The same goes for blush and lipstick...

tone close to your skin with a reddish tint - use a brown color that makes you look healthy and glowing - eye shadow for party is glam could be fantasy, but eye shadow for day time work should be making your eyes look bigger, brighter etc with varying darker and light tones and a thin eye liner

I have olive skin, and it's probably not as dark as yours, but I look best in plum blushes and lipsticks/glosses, and because my eyes are almost black I wear lavender, mint green or gold eyeshadow. I do not look good in pink or baby blue eyeshadows, but I do like to wear white because it really makes my eyes look bigger.

When I get sick of plum, dark peach or cinnamon blush and a matching lipgloss look good too. Have fun experimenting!

Aviod pink,lavender,greens,blues,& stuff.
Stick w/ browns,mauves,a few bronzes,mainly naturals.
They go w/ practicly anything! Use black eyeliner and
mascara w/ that. Your best blush is bronzer. Lip colors
like clear, sand, and pinked bronze would look good along
with matching lip liners. That's what you need.

Eyes – Grey, brown and natural shades are great for you but shimmer colours like bronze, silver and terracotta are great for special occasions.
Cheeks – Deep rose and apricot colours will highlight your cheekbones and give a bronze highlighter a go, you’ll look great.
Lashes – Draw attention to your eyes by experimenting with mascara – navy and dark purple will look great.
Lips – Dark shades like apricot, blackberry, caramel and red will give you luscious looking lips.
