Because speedo's aren't sexy! Yuck! It makes my skin crawl to see any guy wearing those horrid budgie smugglers.

Sorry, but banana hammocks (AKA thongs on men) don't do a thing for me. And it doesn't matter if they cover the cheeks or not, tight spandex does not - NOT - belong on a man's package. At least not out in public.
Okay, okay, if he's built like an underwear model...maybe we can make an exception. But I'd still prefer that he wore boxer type trunks. The speedo is just not flattering to the "average" north american guy's body type. I actually like a guy with a little meat on his bones, but people should simply be aware of what works for them...and what doesn't! Speedos just look like you're trying too hard. You might as well slap on a neon sign that screams, "LOOK AT MY PACKAGE". Uh...maybe we want something left to the imagination. Please.

Most American women that I know (including me) think that those Speedos are NASTY looking! I, perosnally, prefer the long swim trunks. I think that they are much more attractive. I am not interested in watching some guy walk around with his whole "package" on display. If you like that, then you should just go to nude beaches. It's not much different.

"Sexy speedos" is an oxymoron: perhaps if one is a real swimmer, going for a medal, it might be acceptable.
Otherwise, it is the most ridiculous thing a male can wear at the beach.
Check that--I have seen some real goofs in "thongs."

Because they aren't comfortable enoughabout their "macho" lifestyle. If they wear speedos, it shows off everything to everyone, including showing everything to the ones who they don't want to be looking at them.

i'm female and don't think speedos are sexy at all. the only thing going for them is that you can see what you're getting before you go there. i also don't think that guys should wear g-strings. yuk.
