It has always been going on. There is just a big focus on it now, which is why it is a major concern now. A long time ago a 14/15 year old was considered an adult because they had reached puberty. They were allowed to get married etc etc at that age also. It is in modern times that the age of being an adult has become older.
In my opinion they are now doing it for the wrong reason unlike in the past. Now it is just considered a fad and not a genuine part of a lasting relationship. They put too much on the act of just doing it than what it act is supposed to mean.

Sadly, there are a lot of ignorant people in the world, and many famous people see nothing wrong with setting a bad example. Being all uptight about physical relations isn't very healthy, but refusing to exercise any decency or common sense certainly doesn't count as progress. There are so many aspects of society that are urging people on to be selfish and only think of their immediate pleasure, that young people having sex is only one symptom of it.
I congratulate you on your goal. I hope you can hold out against temptation at least until you are older and can better handle the responsibilities. And if you make it at least until you are engaged to a decent young man who is responsible , then even more congratulations, because there isn't enough encouragement in the world for that sort of commitment and character.
Good Luck, and Bright Blessings !

You're right there are some very stupid, immature adolescents that believe virginity is a disease. I always thought I wasn't going to have sex until I was 20 or out of college. Things happen and I love my boyfriend SO much. Sex is something to experience when you are in love. When you can think of the consequences.

You in your life will never enjoy sex with a time table in your mind. It just happens and when u are desperate and need some one badly, you will be much attracted to someone you like. And one move from the opposition will fire your inner instincts. I advice you not to think more on this topic as i dont dnt want you to burn your instincts at so early age. The more you think, the more you get close.

The general deterioration of family, values, etc. No family structure, no morals and values are taught when mom and dad are divorced, etc. The family has crumbled and there is no one to teach young people as there were before.
