wireless adapter of my laptop. help!?

they say i need to turn the power of my wireless adapter on. i'm using compaq laptop. i press fn+f2 but nothing happens. only a window showing wireless network connections. should i do a long press on fn and f2 until i get a message about the wireless adapter? i don't know. i can't also find a button for the adapter on my laptop.

Look in the front or sides for it....
Also please try to read your manual,
or if you are lazy, then call up Compaq Tech support.
let them do the work for you...

Double click on the wireless connection in the window. That should enable it.
