Clicks off all the time can't put gas in at a normal rate. Have to go realllll slow and it still clicks off. I'm lucky to make it to .75 cents before it clicks off

All fuel pumps have a back pressure cut-off, which means that there is pressure building where there shouldn't be.
Try tipping the nozzle downward when filling, this my prevent the safety from tripping. Either way you need to tip the nozzle in a direction that allow the fuel to flow freely. Some cars this not an easy thing to do, they are made so that the tank inlet pipe is almost level and so you constantly get that shut off occurring.

I believe theres a release pressure on the pump handle. When your tank is getting full, it automaticly clicks off to prevent over flow. Try holding the nozzle end out from the tank opening a little further. You may be creating a seal and tricking the pump

Try rotating the nozzle to a different position. I had an old Scout which had the same problem. Had to hold the nozzle at an odd angle to get the darned gas to go in, kept shutting off.

Try inverting the gasoline nozzle 180 degrees with the trigger straight up, the gas tanks emission control ventilation system is blocked somewhere or the system has a design flaw. You ought to have it looked at. If your mechanic says nothings wrong. Bring him/her to the gas station and make him/her show you how to fill the tank. Check the manufacturers recalls for your car. Search auto recalls.........

Sounds like the inner filler tube is kinked, bent to where it won't allow full flow. Is a pain to get the outter hose off, and the inner isn't easy either. Sorry if that didn't help much.

you are probably filling up when your car is very near empty. you have a bunch of fumes in your tank. as you put gas in it will push the fumes out. the fumes causes the pump to click off. (it's thinking you are full.) pump the gas slow for a little bit. get a couple of gallons in there. then speed it up as you put gas in.

You are sticking the gas pump too far into the gas tank! It needs air....the fumes are signaling the sensor that the car is full of gas!! Back it out a little and it will work!

Mine does the same thing sometimes, I was told to not put the nozzle in as far, push it all the way in then pull it back a little. It seems to help, hope it helps you.

your not putting it in correctly(the irony) any way there is a certain way for you to hold the "nozzle" try a couple of different lenghts ie,all the way in or pull it out a little but dont twist it.

try pulling the nozzle out a tiny little bit....or moving it to the side...
that happens to me all the time, it's because the nozzle and your gas tank create too tight of a seal....
