No. It was Paul McCartney that sued in court to dissolve the Beatles. The "imposter" wouldnt have had the legal right to do that.

well, first of all to the whole "he just released an album", doesn't really say much since both Tupac and Johnny Cash released albums long after their deaths.
second of all, Paul is alive. he and Ringo are the only two left of the Beatles.
on top of that, he's in the middle of a divorce from his 2nd wife, as we speak and he was Knighted in 1997.

No, he did not die. It grew to become right into a rumor and James Paul McCartney is alive and nicely. despite if he did die, his "alternative" made great music. yet no, he's alive. Brian Epstein died from a drug overdose.
