Some become more porous as the calcium doesn't adhere to the bones themselves and instead seeps into the blood stream. This is believed the be the reasoning in the relation between osteo and hardening of the arteries in many people who suffer both. My mom has osteoporosis and I've read a lot about it. This calcium adheres to the arterial walls instead.

The correct answer is porous. As in osteoporosis. Kind of scary that you are studying to be a nurse and don't know simple facts like that.

Trust me, it is porous. Osteoporosis is when your bones become porous and start to begin small tiny fractures. This usually only happens in old age. Think of your word stems; osteo=bone and porosis=porous. Use your word stem associations.

Think about all the older women you know who are taking medication to prevent osteoporosis. They are doing that to keep their bones from getting brittle. You could do an internet search under bones + old age.
I'm giving you clues, as it's best if you work it out yourself.
