how u create a log in in dreamweaver for a web page?

i am creating a web page , and would like to put a username and password in the first page
i use dreamweaver

You can't, not with dream weaver. Log-in is supported using cookie handlers, and some special programming, that unless you use java script, Java, or Flash, you will need to use a microsoft supported login from their website. I had to learn that the hard way. If there is an upgrade I don't know about with dream weaver that allows this, I'm sorry I missed it, that's for sure...
